Best Day at the Beach
If you haven't already signed up to volunteer for or have your child with special needs participate in one of these fun-filled adventures, please do so now!
Please view and print the following information to get the most out of your Best Day at the Beach experience:
- Be prepared for a safe, fun-filled day at the beach with activities including: a beach obstacle course, stretching, tandem surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, SUP, outrigger canoeing, and an awards ceremony where every child participant gets a goodie bag, a medal, and more! In NJ we are lucky to often have a live Coast Guard helicopter resuce demonstration!
- Please show up on time! Vounteers at 8am to help with setup and orientations. Particpants at 9:30 for registration. The event should be finished by 1:30 pm for participants and 2:30 pm for volunteers.
Make sure to bring a signed participant waiver or volunteer waiver. - Make sure to bring a bathing suit, towel, hat and sunscreen! We'll have extra of sunscreen if needed.
- If you plan on being a water volunteer, please bring booties to the CA locations.
- Water, snacks and a hot lunch are provided for all volunteers and participants. Due to the unknown variability in family size, we are unable to provide snacks or lunch for the participant families. Please make sure to plan accordingly. If your child is allergic to wheat, gluten or dairy, you should make other arangements.
