    Participate in a Best Day Event

    At Best Day it's all about the kids with special needs who participate in our programs. Your child's safety is our top priority. A team of volunteers keeps them safe while helping them have a blast at our Best Day events! The special kids who participate in our camps are amazing and often blow us (and their parents) away!

    Some things you need to know before signing up your child with special needs to participate:

    • Capacity for all Best Day events is limited for safety, so spots for each event fill up fast. Since space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, please sign up today to reserve a spot so your child can participate. If you have several children, please sign each up separately. 
    • Each child is limited to one Best Day at the Beach and one Best Day in the Snow per season. Those who've signed up for mutliple days will be removed from all but one event and placed in a waiting list in the event room becomes available to accommodate them.  
    • You'll need to bring a signed participant waiver for your child to participate. 
    • Print a parking pass for your car.
    • Plan to arrive on time to sign in and receive an orientation. The day should be finished shortly after lunch.  
    • Learn what to expect at a Best Day at the Beach or a Best Day in the Snow event. 
    • While we encourage you to bring your child's brothers or sisters to the Best Day event to cheer them on - we want to make sure that you and they know that all main activities (surfing, bodyboarding, kayaking, snow tubing) are intended for children with special needs. In rare instances, when time and space permits, we may be able to get your child's siblings involved - but we can't guarantee that will happen. Each Best Day is all about children who don't usually have the opportunity to participate in activities like this. And we hear from plenty of families who have enjoyed the day, in large part, because of the fact that the day was centered on their child who's often left out of such fun. We appreciate your understanding. 
    • Lunch is provided for all participants and volunteers. We're sorry we can't provide it for family members as well, but that would double or triple the amount of food our sponsors donate for each event. We appreciate your bringing lunch and snacks for yourself and other family members.

    If the events are full, make sure to sign our NJ waiting list or our CA waiting list so we can let you know about any cancellations and new events! We're expecting to add one more event in NJ and several more events in CA!

    We are also excited to announce that we'll be hosting snow events at the Hidden Valley Club in NJ in 2011!
